We started VPNGuide because choosing a VPN should not require decoding marketing spin. Every recommendation on this site is grounded in hands-on testing — measured download speeds, latency, leak checks, and real-world streaming results — not press releases.

A VPN touches the most sensitive parts of your digital life: your browsing history, your location, your banking sessions, and the content you can access. Getting that choice wrong can mean leaked DNS requests, throttled connections, or a "no-logs" provider that quietly keeps records. We exist to make those trade-offs transparent.

How we test

Each VPN we cover is evaluated across four pillars. First, speed: we benchmark download, upload, and ping across 10+ global server locations so you can see raw numbers instead of "blazing fast" claims. Second, privacy: we read the logging policy, check the legal jurisdiction, trace ownership history, and look for independent audits, RAM-only servers, and warrant canaries.
